The main purpose of this initiative is to organize an annual scientific conference of Romanian academic economists. The participants are mainly Romanian academic economists affiliated with foreign universities/research institutes and their colleagues working in Romania. Similar projects have been implemented regularly in other European countries like France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Italy, and Spain.

The conference will take place on 29-31 July 2026 in Cluj-Napoca, hosted by the Babeș-Bolyai University and the National Bank of Romania.
